This course is for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the art and science of yoga. Whether you are an experienced or aspiring yoga teacher, an athlete, a health practitioner, or simply want to take your practice to a new level, this immersion series is for you.

You will learn:

  • Basics of alignment for standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists, and inversions.
  • How to use props effectively.
  • How to select an alternative pose when the classical pose is unattainable.
  • How to create sequences of poses.
  • How to practice restorative and rejuvenative poses to maximize benefits.
  • Basics of pranayama (breath awareness).
  • Basics of physical and energetic anatomy and physiology.
  • Basics of mindfulness practices, including sitting meditation (on a cushion or in a chair); walking meditation; mindfulness exercises and practices to do during the day to increase awareness and decrease stress.
  • Ways to integrate your yoga and mindfulness practices into your daily life.
